Creamy Tomato Soup using our Sizzling Hot seasoning
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 carrot, diced
- 1 celery stalk, diced
- 1 can (400g) crushed tomatoes
- 4 cups vegetable or chicken stock
- 1 teaspoon Sizzling Hot Seasoning Mix (adjust to taste)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 120ml heavy cream (optional, for creaminess)
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
Instructions:
1. Sauté Aromatics:
- Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add chopped onion, minced garlic, diced carrot, and diced celery. Sauté until vegetables are softened (about 5 minutes).
2. Add Tomatoes and Stock:
- Pour in crushed tomatoes and vegetable or chicken stock. Stir to combine.
3. Season with Sizzling Hot Mix:
- Add the Sizzling Hot Seasoning Mix. Start with a small amount and adjust to your spice preference. Stir well.
4. Simmer and Blend:
- Simmer the soup for 20-25 minutes. (Optional) Use an immersion blender directly in the pan or transfer a portion to a blender. Blend until smooth.
5. Season and Optional Cream:
- Season with salt and black pepper. Optionally, stir in heavy cream for creaminess.
6. Serve:
- Ladle the creamy blended soup into bowls. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley.
